I like this peice, I've always loved waterscapes. It's a shame you didn't step to the left a bit more and show the sun properly, but it doesn't matter, it looks fine this way. 
Why not try messing with the brightness and contrast on photoshop a bit?
Go to image > adjustments and you will find a list of things that you can use to improve the colour and the lighting so it may look a bit better.
Also, add a small black border around the peice. You'll be amazed at how much more professional it will look if you do that to photos like this.
